TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By submitting an entry and sending samples to participate in the Brazil International Olive Oil Competition BRAZIL iOOC 2O25 each Contestant agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Applications will be valid subject to acceptance of the Terms and Conditions, indicating that the Contestant has read, understands, and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
ELIGIBILITY
Individual olive oil producers, Cooperatives/Associations of olive oil producers, and authorized olive oil distributors are eligible to participate as Contestants in the BRAZIL iOOC. Only extra virgin olive oils may be entered into the Contest. The same Contestant may submit more than one brand of extra virgin olive oil. By entering an olive oil in the BRAZIL iOOC, the Contestant warrants that they are in possession of full ownership of the olive oil and all intellectual property associated therewith, including the brand name, packaging, and any other intellectual property right associated with such olive oil.
ONLINE REGISTRATION
All Contestants must complete and submit an online entry form to the BRAZIL iOOC . Upon submitting the entry form and paying the entry fee, each Contestant will receive an e-mail containing an entry confirmation.
ENTRY FEE
The entry fee per olive oil: 350,00 €

Registration can close at any time without notice. All payments must be made online using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Stripe; SEPA and etc. Entry fees are not refundable under any circumstances.
SAMPLES
Each Contestant must send three (3) separate samples of each submitted olive oil. Each sample must be submitted in its normal retail packaging. This rule applies to all entries, irrespective of the normal packaging size of the sample (i.e., regardless of the sample size, 250 ml, 1,000 ml, or any other size, the Contestant must submit three (3) samples). Once received by the BRAZIL iOOC, samples will be masked with opaque wrapping and assigned a random code so as to ensure anonymity during sensorial judging.
The BRAZIL iOOC recognizes the world’s best olive oils that are produced in quantities to reach a significant number of consumers. Therefore, it is recommended, but not required, that participants produce a batch of at least 1,000 liters of any submitted sample. The BRAZIL iOOC reserves the right to have a third-party olive oil chemistry testing provider perform chemical tests on any samples submitted to determine and evaluate the quality of such a sample. In the event that a sample fails any such chemical test, the sample will be disqualified, the Contestant will be notified in writing of the disqualification, and, upon written request, the BRAZIL iOOC will provide the Contestant a copy of the test results. Testing fees are not refundable under any circumstances.
DEADLINE
Samples after July 11th, will not be eligible for judging in the BRAZIL iOOC. Samples that are not timely received will not be returned to the Contestant.
BROKEN SAMPLES
Contestants are responsible for packing their samples in such a way as to prevent breakage during transit. If the BRAZIL iOOC receives a sample that is broken, the BRAZIL iOOC will use reasonable efforts to promptly notify the Contestant of the broken sample. A contestant will be required to re-send any broken sample (or samples) at its own expense. The above-stated deadline will be applicable to any re-sent samples as though the initial, broken sample, had never been received by the BRAZIL iOOC.
The BRAZIL iOOC will not be liable for any failure to timely notify a Contestant of a broken sample.
The BRAZIL iOOC will not be liable to any Contestant for any loss or damage to any sample, whether or not such damage occurs while such a sample is in the BRAZIL iOOC possession, and irrespective of whether such damage or loss occurs prior to, during, or after the BRAZIL iOOC. In the event that a sample is lost or damaged for any reason, the contestant will be required to submit a replacement sample at its own expense.
SHIPPING AND RECEIVING
The BRAZIL iOOC will not be responsible for any customs charges or ensuring compliance with any laws, rules, or regulations related to shipping goods in international commerce. All shipments must be in the Duty Tax Paid (DTP) mode. Contestants will bear the risk of loss of any samples in transit, and Contestants shall be solely responsible for ensuring that samples are received by the BRAZIL iOOC.
Shipping costs will not be refunded by the BRAZIL iOOC under any circumstances. The BRAZIL iOOC will use reasonable efforts to confirm the receipt of samples from the Contestants.
